Eloise Marchetti began in 2014, in a narrow workshop above a stonecutter's shop in Bath, with a jeweller's loupe, a handful of reclaimed silver, and a single idea: fine jewellery shouldn't have to choose between meaning and everyday wear.
Eloise learned to set stones at her grandmother's workbench, watching her turn old, unworn family rings into new ones for the next generation. That habit of looking backwards to make something new stuck with her. So when she started the company, she began the same way her grandmother had: melting down a small box of forgotten jewellery and sketching what it might become.
Those first pieces sold from a market stall on a Saturday morning, wrapped in brown paper because there was no budget for anything finer. What people kept coming back for wasn't the packaging - it was pieces that felt personal rather than trend-driven: a ring you could wear every day, a necklace that meant something on the one day a year you needed it to.
Today, Eloise Marchetti is still a small team, still fussy about finish and detail, and still working from the same belief that started it all: that jewellery should be worn, not just admired.
